Air Canada Business Class - Transcontinental

New service to debut March 1...

Air Canada announced it will introduce a new premium business-class offering on transcontinental flights on March 1. The service will be called Business Class – Transcontinental, and will be available on select flights linking Toronto with Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, and Calgary, a well as on flights between Montreal and Vancouver.

Air Canada’s Business Class – Transcontinental will offer suites with fully lie-flat seats, accompanied by a large pillow and plush duvet. The 787 Dreamliner will feature the airline’s new Executive Pod, with a lie-flat bed that is 21” wide and extends to 79”.  Most other aircraft will feature the airline’s Classic Pod, which has a seat that extends to a 75” bed with a width of 21”, and the 777-300ER features the slightly narrower Studio Pod.

Passengers will also experience ambient mood lighting synced with different time zones. On board amenities will include a choice of international business class-style dining options and beverages and noise-canceling headphones

Business Class – Transcontinental passengers will also receive priority check-in, access to the Maple Leaf Lounge, an additional baggage allowance, priority boarding, and additional Air Canada Altitude Qualifying miles.

The new class of service will be available on transcontinental flights operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Boeing 777, Boeing 767, and Airbus 330 aircraft.
