Air Canada Launches Toronto-amsterdam, Montreal-mexico City Flights

Air Canada marked the launch of two new international services today, with the arrival of AC824 in Amsterdam from Toronto and the departure of AC994 from Montreal to Mexico City.

The Toronto-Amsterdam service will be operated with 211-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with a choice of both International Business Class and Economy Class service. Flights will initially operate Monday, Thursday and Saturday from Toronto, and return Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday from Amsterdam. As of June 29, the service will operate daily for the summer.

The Montreal-Mexico City flight will be operated with 120-seat Airbus A319 aircraft with a choice of both Business and Economy class cabins, departing Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The launch of these non-stop services marks a further advance of the airline's international expansion strategy, which has seen its international capacity grow more than 50 per cent since 2009.

New routes from Air Canada still to launch in 2015 include Toronto-Dubai, Toronto-Delhi and Toronto-Abbotsford.
